Materials Handling Equipment (MHE), an industry leading material handling solutions provider, is hiring a Territory Sales Representative for the southern Michigan area.

 

OPPORTUNITY:

As our Major Account Sales Manager, you will represent a Multi-line OEM Equipment Dealer selling capital equipment to key accounts. Contribute to your success and the company’s success by developing leads, establishing productive customer relationships, building rapport, and closing business to achieve targeted sales goals. Bring your passion, ambition, and positive attitude to our expanding team. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, you will provide strategy and action to increase our large account portfolio, customer satisfaction and market share growth.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Research and prospect for potential customers (phone calls, e-mails, marketing programs, face to face meetings, and network within the industry).
  • Develop and maintain new relationships form leads and prospecting efforts within the manufacturing and warehousing industries.
  • Successfully negotiate contracts equipment and service contracts and effectively close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Maintain and expand existing account relationships in a professional and profitable manner.
  • Promote and sell MHE’s equipment and establish plans and strategies to expand market share within our operating footprint.
  • Participate in developing, maintaining, and executing an accountability plan.
  • Achieve and maintain quarterly/annual sales goals for each OEM product line.
  • Embrace and become proficient in executing sales activities within the fundamental guidelines of the Sandler Selling System.
  • Monitor competitive activity, strategy, and products for internal planning communication purposes.

 

SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • Bachelor’s or Technical Degree, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a combination of formal education and related industry experience.
  • 3+ years related outside B2B capital equipment/industrial sales experience with emphasis on territory management, building customer relationships and business development.
  • Successful sales record with ability to manage, retain, and build revenue streams.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, CRM systems, and sales activity planning and reporting.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and match requirements.
  • Travel to 65-75% in territory.
  • Hunter mentality with strong desire to drive results.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Materials Handling Equipment will reward your sales talents with a base salary of $60-80K plus commission. Annual income targeted to exceed $150K. You will also receive a benefits package including a comprehensive medical program, short term disability, life insurance, a generous paid time off program, 401(k) retirement plan, and potential profit sharing.

Materials Handling Equipment (MHE), a multi-line OEM equipment dealer, has Full-Service Dealerships in Fort Wayne and Elkhart, IN and Coldwater, MI and will be adding additional branch locations in Michigan soon. MHE also represents more than 60 other manufacturers of various material handling products to meet the demands of any manufacturing and material handling or warehousing application. MHE provides sales, service and installation of loading dock equipment, overhead door systems, pallet rack systems, shelving, conveyors and other warehouse, manufacturing, and material handling solutions.
