Are you an ambitious sales professional with a proven track record of driving revenue growth? We are seeking a dynamic Territory Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in cultivating relationships with current customers while actively seeking out and engaging new prospects. By promoting our products, providing technical support, and delivering exceptional customer service, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving profitability within your assigned territory of northern Nebraska.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with management to update territory plans and establish sales goals and budgets.
- Identify sales opportunities by assessing the potential of new and existing customers through various means such as inquiry, observation, and research.
- Conduct compelling sales presentations to showcase our products to both new and existing customers.
- Understand customer needs and expectations to recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Expand business by identifying and qualifying new accounts, utilizing effective sales techniques for cross-selling and up-selling.
- Foster and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and support.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to enhance sales effectiveness and professionalism.
- Assist clients with inquiries, special requests, and issue resolution.
- Visit job sites as required to provide services and support.
- Gather competitive intelligence and market insights while collaborating with the distribution team.
- Negotiate pricing and terms in line with company guidelines for optimal profitability.
- Prepare and present quotations accurately and professionally.
- Demonstrate superior presentation and public speaking skills.
- Communicate changes in demand to the purchasing department.
- Monitor customer credit status and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Maintain organizational excellence and attention to detail.
- Stay informed about local codes and consumer preferences.
- Attend sales meetings, vendor training sessions, trade shows, and read relevant trade journals to stay current.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Proficient in business math (basic algebra, computing rate, ratio, etc.).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and distribution software.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Product/application knowledge required.
- Wholesale distribution experience preferred.
