Instrumentation Technician
The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the maintenance, testing, inspection, and coordinating of all instrumentation.

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate records of all instrumentation equipment.
- Troubleshoots instrumentation and control malfunctions.
- Maintains accurate records and logs as required.
- Installs new system controls.
- Services and replaces instruments.
- Pressure, level, and flow instrumentation.
- Low voltage monitors/breakers and control circuits
- Performs general electrical maintenance.
- Use of tools, including tape measure, meggers, and multi-meters.
- Responsible for advanced electrical troubleshooting and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Resource for Process Reliability improvement efforts and root cause problem solving.
- Project support as needed.
- Responsible for instrument calibrations.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete internal/external training courses determined by the company to maintain/build technical capabilities.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and periodic review of preventive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned shutdowns and improve overall plant capability.
- Keep abreast of and evaluate new methodologies, work practices, equipment, instrumentation, controls, technology for application and use within the plant.
- Assist in the development and improvement of the plant mechanical integrity program.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
- Instrument and/or electrical training, degree, or certification.
- Certification or Degree in Instrumentation Technology, preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience with industrial process measurement and control systems.
- Proficient knowledge of basic electrical circuitry and ability to follow loop and electrical schematics.
- Experience and proficiency in troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprint of electronic schematics.
- Proficiency in computer controls programming logic is a plus.
- Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams.
- Ability to use the computer and the CMMS system.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
- Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical and background check.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to work at elevated heights, including using lifts, ladders, and stairs.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Work is done outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
Position Details:
- Shift work - must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Will be subject to Call out.
- This is a Non-Exempt position.
