Position Summary:
The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the Collegeof Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado isseeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor.
Job Duties:
This position has a workloaddistribution of 60% teaching (3-3 teaching load), 20% professional activity,and 20% service. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstratepotential for teaching excellence in traditional and online settings,developing and maintaining an active research agenda, and participating indepartment, college, and community service activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or terminaldegree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, Law or a closely relatedfield is expected. The abilityto teach both undergraduate and graduate level classes is expected.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given toapplicants with research and teaching interests in policing, victimstudies, diversity, law or ethics in criminal justice. The desired applicantwill have experience/potential to teach in one of these listed areas. Inaddition, possess membership in professional organizations, have the potentialto write grants, and highlight evidence of service. In addition, the candidatemust provide evidence of how they would incorporate diversity in their teachingpractices.

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
