JOB SUMMARY:
The Anderson College of Business and Computing at Regis University invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions starting August 1, 2024. Anderson College seeks faculty members who can design, develop, and teach courses for its Master of Science in Data Science program. The department is seeking a versatile teacher-scholar who will contribute to the college’s mission to help prepare students for exceptional success, distinction, and compassion via critical thinking and values-based experiential learning - all to enhance the world’s economic, environmental, and social well-being.
Our ideal candidate holds a strong teaching record and preferably an industry background or a history of working with industry in an academic setting. Additionally, faculty members must contribute to the scholarly community through research efforts. A record of sustained scholarship in the discipline is required for tenure. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
A doctoral degree or ABD status in Data Science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a closely aligned field of study is required.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and teach courses in our Data Science program. Integrative and experiential learning pedagogies are particularly prized.
- Maintain currency in the Data Science field through scholarship such as peer-reviewed publications, presenting at conferences, and other scholarly activities.
- Actively serve the college and university by participating in various standing committees, task forces, etc., facilitating our operations.
- Support student learning by participating in facilitating workshops, student clubs, graduation, and other student-facing activities.
- Conduct service to the community, profession, or discipline by participating with industry groups, editorial boards, etc.
