Temporary Vote By Mail Data Processor

Summary:

No prior election experience or training required. Training will be provided. Temporary Vote By Mail Data Processor will assist with preparing for an election by performing the following duties as selected by the Supervisor:

• Manages various Excel databases.
• Enters data from Vote by Mail applications into database.
• Prepares Vote by Mail ballots for voters and answers questions concerning voting procedures.
• Processes valid voted Vote by Mail ballots and prepares official reports of election results.
• Assists with the Tritek High Speed Sorter Unit and Dropbox Ballot programs.
• Responds to inquiries via email, phone, and in person.
• And other duties as assigned

Availability:

• Full-time (40 hours per week) plus extended workdays and weekends as needed.
• Time and a half are earned for hours worked over 40 hours in a week.
• Election Day from 5:30 a.m. until approximately 12:00 a.m.
• Overtime on weekends and extended weekdays will be required two months prior to an election and one month following an election.

Required Skills:

• Microsoft Excel spreadsheet experience.
• Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.

Education and/or Experience:

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate required.
Experience: One year of clerical or administrative experience preferred
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office 2019.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current valid driver's license required.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and/or lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
