Job Summary
Apply accounting principles in working with specialized accounting records and reports and is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and accuracy of a general ledger and in preparing financial reports.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Develop and maintain system of internal controls to assure integrity of financial information.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations and prepare reports and financial statements for management use.
- Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value, and location of property.
- Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Reconcile accounts, review reconciliations, and ensure that all outstanding items are properly cleared; prepare journal entries and other adjustments to correct errors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Approximate starting hourly rate: $14.00 - $15.00. The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
