Temp Court Coordinator – Approximately 6 months
Hiring Range: $22.67 - $27.78 Per Hour
As the Court Coordinator, you will provide organization and support for court proceedings related to ITA and LRA processes. Your responsibilities include coordinating information flow between various parties, producing accurate reporting, and facilitating court proceedings both in person and through telecommunication. Your role is essential in improving the operations of KMHS and supporting its mission through exceptional customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in maximizing revenue and accuracy in the data collection process, working closely with the accounting office regarding admissions, discharges, and insurance information.
- Organize, maintain, and coordinate long-term beds between AIU and MCO/ASO, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Work with AIU/YIU managers/director to maintain up-to-date policy and procedure manuals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with all timelines related to correspondence log, faxing client discharge instructions, etc., maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain consistent record standards by entering demographic information on appropriate forms, ensuring data accuracy.
- Assist nursing staff with coordinating client appointments, including transportation and scheduling adjustments.
- Proficiently handle data entry and extraction using various computer programs/systems, ensuring accurate and timely information processing.
- Serve as backup Space Coordinator, managing facility space effectively.
- Set census and close episodes daily, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Copy, assemble, process, and deliver nursing and transfer packets, discharge summaries, and other relevant documents promptly.
- Organize and maintain communications, distributing information in a timely manner to ensure staff have necessary information.
- Assist with client transport for continuing treatment by arranging ambulance/secure transport as needed.
- Disclose limited client information as necessary, adhering to HIPAA privacy and security standards.
- Facilitate court procedures, including preparation of court dockets, filing of court paperwork, and distribution of ITA and LRA-related documents.
- Provide support for clinical staff and attorneys involved in court proceedings, ensuring accurate communication and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 3 years of job-related experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree (In Business, Accounting, or Related Field)
EXPERIENCE: Specialist (Minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Coursework in medical/psychiatric terminology.
Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Performance Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as office equipment to include multi-line telephone systems, scanning and copying.
- Understand agency policies and procedures and maintain appropriate confidentiality as per relevant RCWs and WACs.
SKILLS:
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, clients, organizations, and the public.
- Strong communication skills are required.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.
Mental/Physical Requirements: While performing the job duties, the employee must walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen. Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
