Hiring Range: $22.67 - $27.78 per hour
- Demonstrate reliable, consistent and precise operation of the TMS device, and pass all proficiency standards at whatever intervals KMHS establishes for maintenance of operation privileges.
- Obtain TMS training by KMHS, and adhere to the Neil S. Hirsch TMS Center operation guidelines. Previous TMS training protocols from other agencies will not supersede KMHS rules and regulations.
- Adhere to all setting parameters as prescribed by the attending psychiatrist.
- Attend to the client at all times during treatment with concentrated attention, alertness, focus and vigilance.
- Demonstrate compassionate and skillful technique in positioning the coil, and placement for daily, accurate treatment.
- Greet and converse positively with clients for extended periods, maintaining professional boundaries, and ensuring their comfort and positive experience during a potentially stressful medical intervention.
- Answer all client questions with sound, evidence based responses if within their scope of practice, or notifying a medical provider to assist with providing education and reassurance, in a timely manner.
- Manage emergency medical situations quickly and expertly per protocols, contact all emergency personnel without delay, and report all incidents within published timeframes to KMHS Quality Improvement with detail and transparency. An emergency drill will hold the same level of expectation as a real emergency.
- Utilize an electronic medical record for documentation and record keeping, and complete and sign all notes before end of shift.
- Assist the TMS Coordinator with contacting clients, scheduling, tracking and managing data, and all other duties as assigned. The TMS Technician and Coordinator will cross-train and step in for one another during times of absence to maintain the integrity of TMS operations.

- An entry-level understanding of brain anatomy and physiology.
- Medical device operation
- Familiarity with privacy laws and HIPAA requirements
- 35 wpm typing proficiency
- Microsoft Excel, including sorting, graphing, calculations, formulas, and visual formatting
- Clinical interviewing
- Punctuality and professionalism in appearance and behavior
- Clean, precise, thorough, and timely documentation
