Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday from 11:45 AM-5:15 PM, Fridays from 12:45 PM - 6:15 PM, and 1-2 Saturdays per month from 8:45 AM -12:15 PM.
Your Role
Assist members with financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Identify opportunities to promote products, services and solutions that benefit members while building a positive relationship.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Receives and processes member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments.
- Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance situations.
- Adheres to and follows all governmental policies, regulations, internal processes and procedures.
- Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Identifies opportunities and cross-sells/offers products and services to members.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including computer input, answering the telephone and other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- High School education or GED Required
- Less than a year Six to twelve months of cash handling and/or customer service experience.
- Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
- Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
- Team-oriented, member-focused and enjoys helping others while performing routine tasks.
- Careful attention to details of work including accuracy, balancing and quality.
- Can operate office equipment including computers, copiers/scanners, cash counting machines and coin counters.
- Basic understanding of math and cash counting/handling skills.
- Ability to interpret and administer credit union policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and member information.
