Job Description Summary
The Telehealth Nurse Manager – Ambulatory Specialty Services reports to the Director of Telehealth and is also accountable to the Executive Medical Director of the Center for Telehealth. This position ensures the provision of the virtual clinical services in collaboration with other health professionals in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes and adaptive to change. The Manager is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of telehealth Specialty Services, including but not limited to, Virtual Urgent Care and the contracted extension of specialty care to businesses and institutions on a 24–hour basis. The Manager evaluates and makes improvements to departmental clinical processes while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations. More discretion and greater financial authority than other lower management levels with direct cost center accountability. Has hire, fire, or promotion authority, as appropriate, and ensures sufficient staffing to meet patient care needs. Manages initiatives, strategic priorities, and programs which have an impact on the organization. The Manager will utilize clinical/nursing experience to develop clinical pathways/protocols as well as to plan, organize, facilitate, monitor, and evaluate activities and functions of the business area based on employee and organizational goals. Collaborates with physicians, APPs, nurses, and external leaders and staff to ensure timely patient access to care, operational efficiency, practice optimization, fiscal integrity, and to foster the delivery of a high quality patient care experience.Entity
