The Courage Clinic is different from others in how we structure our clinic. Ample time is provided for intakes (90 minutes) and follow-up appointments (45 minutes), making sure that providers have the time to complete a thorough assessment, discuss treatment, and address patient concerns. We also provide administrative pay to compensate providers for time spent collaborating, documenting, and attending weekly meetings. In addition, group and individual supervision and consultation are available on a weekly basis.
Summary: This position is for a full-time W2 (works a minimum of 30 hours/week; may choose to work more) telehealth only Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a very supportive team of other PMHNP’s and mental health therapists. Benefits include paid and unpaid time off, paid sick time, health insurance, short-term disability coverage, life insurance, retirement with match by employer, and stipend toward continuing education. Some benefits will start after 1 year of employment. The PMHNP has flexibility in their hours/scheduling and will work remotely.
Role and Responsibilities: The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will conduct intake and follow up assessments, diagnose, treat, and provide health education to patients who are seeking psychopharmacological treatment. The PMHNP role includes developing appropriate treatment plans and providing effective management of patient care accompanying ongoing, thorough evaluation. The clinician must practice in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws, including current DEA regulations. In addition, the clinician must practice within currently accepted guidelines and scope of practice as outlined by The American Nurses Association and the Colorado State Board of Nursing. The PMHNP-BC must not have any suspensions/exclusions/debarments from participation in federal health care programs (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP) and must maintain credentialing and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of The Courage Clinic’s credentialing staff.
Required Skills & Experience: The qualified applicant will have a Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and hold a current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In addition, the applicant must possess a current license in good standing with the state of Colorado. The applicant must be willing to participate in routine team meetings and trainings.
Bilingual fluency a plus!
