Job Description
We are hiring a Construction Project Manager for a full time, direct hire position! The right candidate will oversee the activities at a construction job site. Manages construction crews, inspects ongoing work, ensures adherence to state and local codes, arranges for for necessary equipment and keeps Construction Project costs at or, if possible, under budget.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages all crews on assigned jobs for Division
- Training Foremen and Foreman report to Construction Manager on assigned jobs
- Works with the Project Manager coordinating, scheduling, and material ordering
- Ensures projects are completed within Project Managers schedule
- Customer POC for project status and new work awards
- Works with customer on the site coordination and planning
- Has authority to order material for assigned job
- Works with Admin on crew timesheets and documents for assigned jobs, job setups
- Engages and coordinates with various municipalities and their inspection team.
- Final review and signature of as-builts/COP approval
- Invoice approvals
- Ensures projects are completed within budget and on schedule
- Tracks milestones and deliverables amongst the lifespan of a project
- Performs interviews and manages hiring for field crews
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Possesses OSHA 10, first aid/CPR and confined space training
- Basic understanding of Outlook, Excel and Word
- Proficient in aerial/underground construction. Understands G.O. 95 and G.O. 128
- Proven working experience in construction site supervision.
- Capable of reading and interpreting building plans, blueprints and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
- Ability to present a professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities; works well in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
- Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds
- Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
- Must be able to operate or workaround heavy equipment and machinery
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders
- Must be able to work in small/confined areas
- Ability to work at various job sites as required
- Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled
- Ability to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
- Ability to exercise due diligence to drive safely and to maintain the security of the company vehicle and its contents
- Ability to work while wearing PPE’s (safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear)
