Since 1973, Olive Crest has transformed the lives of over 100,000 abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families. We work tirelessly to meet the individual needs of kids in crisis by providing safe homes, counseling, and education for both youth and parents throughout Southern California, Nevada and the Pacific Northwest.
Our Mission: Olive Crest is dedicated to Preventing child abuse, to Treating and Educating at-risk children and to "Preserving the family...One Life at a Time."
We currently have the following position open working out of our Perris office:
Youth Partner - STRTP
Youth Partners are responsible for the supervision of youth (males, ages 12-18) in a residential group home. This includes mentoring and being a good role model, teaching independent living skills, behavior modifications and crisis management. The most important qualification is the ability to be a stable, consistent role model who understands and is able to keep appropriate professional boundaries, while still investing in and building rapport with our kids.Successful applicants for this position will have one year of previous residential experience and a BA in a related field. This position also requires the ability to obtain a criminal background clearance along with a valid CA drivers license and an acceptable driving record.
The position offers entry level pay ($21.00 per hour); however, it is a great opportunity for those with recent education in Sociology or Psychology to gain experience working with an "at-risk" population. Since our kids are typically referred through the Probation Department of the surrounding counties, it is also a great entry level position for those seeking to pursue a career in Criminal Justice or even Law Enforcement. More importantly, it is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of troubled youth!
