ABOUT THE POSITION:
Anchin's Learning and Development team is looking to add a Technology Trainer under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Learning and Development. This role will report into L&D but will also work closely with the IT and HR departments on technology upgrades, rollouts and serve as a use-based helpdesk.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary:
- Develop and design comprehensive technology-focused training programs and courses for all employees of the firm on firm-wide software and applications, to ensure employees are trained for successful job performance.
- Work closely with the IT & HR Teams on new product launches and upgrades to learn technology 'from the ground up'. Identify training needs and create or modify courseware and/or documentation; plan and deliver appropriate training sessions for firm members at various levels and align technology training to firm goals.
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions both in-person and virtually, focusing on the diverse learning styles and needs that lead to learning retention.
- Create training videos to both accompany live instructor-led training as well as to stand alone on smaller rollouts or updates.
- Conduct technology orientation sessions for new hires.
- Serve as a technology-use helpdesk, assisting firm members one-on-one as needed to ensure comfortable and efficient use with our technologies.
- Work with the L&D Team on other related training needs including but not limited to video editing, course production and staff orientations.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and best practices related to the accounting industry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's or associate degree in adult learning, human resources, accounting, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1 + years of experience in training, tutoring, and/or mentoring experience.
Skills:
- Strong technology skills and ability to learn quickly (ability to learn quickly is paramount).
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
- Interest in Adult Learning and how to improve learner experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-quality service and partner effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within the firm.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and willingness to speak up and/or ask questions.
- Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple competing priorities.
- Work effectively both independently and with teams.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently in a hybrid and in-office setting.
- Ability to design courses and practice materials to reinforce learning.
- Good course facilitation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Accounting is a plus but not mandatory.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $65,000 to $85,000, based on individual's experience level.
