I am seeking candidates who possess a blend of technical and customer-facing skills to successfully support training for robotics and automation environments for ELB Learnings' large, well known Grocery chain client. This role will require a unique combination of flexibility, troubleshooting, creativity, accountability, and drive. As part of the ELB clients' Grocery Logistics L&D team, candidates have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with multiple engineering teams, to contribute to the continuous innovation of next generation Fulfillment.

This position reports to the Automation Training Manager.
From my perspective - successful applicants will have held senior Instructional Design & Facilitation roles, combined with experience (and education) around industrial processes enhanced by automation / robotics.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing & maintaining technical training content, hands-on exercises, presentations, and accompanying materials.
- Deliver instructor-led training to end-user customers and partners on a regular or as-needed schedule.
- Work with vendors and key internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, effective training content and delivery.
- Evaluate learners and collect feedback to track knowledge retention and continuously improve content.
- Train internal authorized trainers (i.e., Ambassadors, etc.)
- Assist in the development of a formalized Train-the-Trainer program for our downstream customers (e.g., associates, Ops leaders, technicians, etc.)
- Collect and share best practices with the Learning Solutions team.
- This role will require travel up to 50% of the year.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Osha 10 Trained
- Technical degree (e.g., Mechanical, /Electronics, or Mechatronics) or relevant work experience required.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with automation and/or robotics technology, preferably in a fulfillment-like setting.
- Experience with classroom and eLearning instructional development and delivery.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong facilitation, influencing and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and eLearning applications.
- Passion for training and obsession for customer service.
- Be the “go to” subject matter expert (SME) for internal training needs.
- Ability to manage multiple training projects and/or programs.
- Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
- Must be able to navigate around and handle ambiguity, when applicable.
PREFERRED, ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing (LXD) and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content.
- Experience with learning management and knowledge base systems.
- Direct automation and/or robotics vendor, integrator, or manufacturer experience,
- especially those who have worked with Amazon.
