Job Duties
Tier I helpdesk/direct user support at two sites
Troubleshoot, and support a variety of issues related to hardware, software, environmental, and user-created causes, partnering with vendors as appropriate
Researches unresolved problems and communicates potential solutions to users
Device lifecycle management and support (e.g. acquisition, deployment, collection, erasure, sale, etc.)
Responsible for school-wide repair and maintenance of equipment and technical services (e.g. printers, etc.)
Develops and maintains documentation processes of various procedures and practices
Promote continuous improvement of Technology Support
Performs other duties as needed and required
Qualifications
Associate’s degree, professional certifications in IT or related field of study, or equivalent experience
Technical knowledge of Apple hardware (Mac and iPad) and software (macOS, iPadOS, tvOS)
Technical knowledge of the following systems a plus: Google Workspace for Education, using and maintaining an IT ticketing system (HelpSpot), mobile device management (JAMF), printer management (Papercut)
Commitment to strong customer service with an ability to learn, listen, and empathize
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational and follow-through skills with strong attention to details
The ability to multitask, assess priorities, and self-direct with flexibility
Ability to work well with others while demonstrating patience and understanding
Ability to maintain confidentiality and support the mission, policies and guidelines of Minnehaha Academy
Must be able to concentrate on work tasks amidst distraction from telephone, students, co-workers, etc.
Work may require occasional travel
Position involves occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force
Work regularly requires speaking, hearing, reaching and repetitive motions as well as standing, walking, sitting, pushing or pulling and occasionally requires stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, climbing (ladder) and lifting.
Work has standard vision and vocal requirements.

Work Hours
0.75 FTE is 195 days per year, generally following the Minnehaha teacher's contract (186 days); plus 9 days flexible before/after the school year: (for example, starting 5 days before the teachers return in August and staying 4 days after the teachers are done in June. So for the coming year, starting Monday, August 5, 2024 and ending Friday, June 6, 2025).
