Requirements:
· The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical/skilled support to Assembly Engineers for plant Equipment/Conveyor/ conveyance systems and internal FAE (Final Assembly Engineering) PWT (Powertrain) related projects.
· Reporting to the Engineering Manager the person in this role will support the Final Assembly Production Engineering department's objective to provide high quality, low cost and reliable plant Equipment and control systems.
What you’ll be doing:
· Confirm equipment meets Assembly requirement for Safety, Quality, Operation and Maintainability
· Provide technical skilled support for project work to FAE Assembly Equipment Engineers
· Provide NAMC Team Member training – Maintenance, Production and Engineering
· Review, confirm and update drawings to support change points
· Investigate performance issues, determine root cause, and develop permanent countermeasures
· Implement PLC modification on new and existing systems that integrate to Assembly Equipment.
· Support new technology development, deployment to NAMCs
· Level up vendors to ensure good quality equipment in compliance with regulations is adopted
· Support conveyor, power train (Fr, Rr axle) and general equipment development (including AGV systems) and implementation in a production environment
Required skills –
1. Comprehensive knowledge of PLC programming (e.g. - Allen Bradley PLC’s, Omron PLC, etc.)
2. Electrical circuits, and controls
3. Either Technical degree (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) or certificate and/or equivalent work experience.
Preferred -
· Experience programming/troubleshooting Toyopuc and Allen Bradley PLC’s
· Experience and comprehensive knowledge of PLC’s, Quality Networks, Pokayokes, AVI, AGV systems, Electrical circuits, and controls
· Assembly Seibi experience. 2 years minimum
· Experience working with robots and programming.
Omron PLC experience. 1 year minimum
RM Notes:
· Manager is looking for someone who ideally has experience working with PLC programming, having a technical degree and at the most 2+ years of working experience in the similar field.
· They’re open to see graduates that are fresh out of college but should have the required skills and required degree.
· Top 3 skills: Electrical-mechanical troubleshooting, PLC programming, Industrial maintenance experience
· Interviews: 1 round: 60 minutes.
Other important information:
· Need to have Driver’s License - Will Drive to vendors to buy equipment's - May be 2-3 times in a year
· Please submit candidates that are eligible to travel internationally to Canada, Japan and Mexico
· Ability to travel up to 50% of the time when required to support all NAMC’s (Domestic and Global travel)
· Ability to work overtime up to 20% when required. (Weekends, holidays, shutdown)
