In return, we'll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about.Job SummaryA Technician 3 - Animal Services is performing basic skills and procedures within a team, gaining more experience with additional species of focus, and learning more intermediate skills and procedures of the department training plan. The technician is assigned to daily tasks to perform skills which may include animal husbandry needs, animal handling, cage cages, equipment storage/tracking, wash systems, and water delivery system maintenance for various species throughout the site. The technician can work more independently, with additional species, and/or perform more complex procedures/projects to support the routine study/department needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Ensure good welfare and humane care for all animals worked with through gentle, positive human-animal interactions.* Perform basic skills of the department, with little supervision.
Skills may include animal handling, cage cages, equipment storage/tracking, wash systems, and water delivery system maintenance for additional species throughout the site. Specific skills will be based on each area's training plan and business needs.* Collect, document, review, and verify data on forms, or in electronic data capture systems.* Review documentation of functions performed as part of quality control requirements.* Use, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment.* Ability to cross-train in basic skills of another area/department.* May assist with study data collection.* Perform all other related duties as assigned.The pay range for this position is $21.50/hr. Take your first step towards a new career.Job Qualifications* Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.), preferred.* Experience: Previous ACS Equipment Team experience required.* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.* Certification/Licensure: Functional certification preferred.
