The High Voltage Test Center (HVTC) Lab specialist performs visual and electrical tests on protective equipment, enters testing data, and receives and ships materials for testing.
Responsibilities
- Performs visual and electrical tests of rubber safety items in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standards.
- Coordinates and performs visual inspections and dielectric testing of insulated units. Documents, reports, and tracks findings, repairs, and corrective measures.
- Performs visual inspection and dielectric testing of live-line tools. Documents, reports, and tracks findings, repairs, and corrective measures and findings.
- Receives, ships, verifies, and matches packing slips for goods received and shipped. Utilizes shipping software and transports materials to various shipping points as needed.
- Prepares materials for testing by organizing goods to be tested, cleaning materials before testing and providing necessary paperwork.
- Provides exceptional customer service to customers dropping off and picking up orders.
- Keys data related to the testing process in software.
- Provides support with annual inventory and interim inventory counts.
- The ability to handle stress and work reasonably well with others are essential functions of this position.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to operate a digger derrick and bucket truck.
Minimum Experience
- Technician I - No Experience
- Technician II - At least 2 years' experience
- Sr. Technician - At least 4+ years' experience

- Certified Forklift Operator
