Suncook River Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Technician Assistant to our team. 

Suncook River Veterinary Clinic is a one doctor small animal practice specializing in general medicine and surgery. In addition to our standard care, our facility offers alternative therapies like acupuncture, rehabilitation/medical manipulation, and laser therapy. Other services include state-of-the-art digital x-rays, dental x-rays, ultrasound, and EKG. Many of our team members are Fear Free certified. Our staff’s wellbeing is our very top priority. We offer free doggy daycare for employee pets, and a fun and easy-going work environment!

We are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00am-6:00pm and Thursdays 7:00am-8:00pm we hope to add rotating Saturdays from 9:00am-1:00pm back to our schedule soon.

Technician Assistant

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Provides compassionate care to patients and clients
• Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy, including in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and record keeping
• Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Performs physical assessments and records observations, including triaging and problem solving to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Safe, low stress and compassionate handling and restraint
• Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Pharmacy skills, including protocols for filling in-house
• Monitors vitals by hand and with equipment
• Sample collection and processing for in-house and reference labs
• Builds initial rapport and long-term relationships with both pets and clients, successfully communicates plans and estimates to owners
• Communicates within the team, proactively advocating for their patient’s needs
