Stocker Automotive’s Technician Apprenticeship program is looking to expand

As a Technician Apprentice you will start out learning and doing the basics. You will start in the express lube, learning hands on changing engine oil, rotating tires and completing Multi-point Vehicle Inspections. During this time you will also be completing Manufacture fundamental web based training that will build the foundation for a successful Technician Career. The courses in fundamentals will teach you how to use Service Information to diagnose and repair vehicles, Teach you how to follow a Strategy based diagnostic system, how to document diagnostics and repairs on a repair order, specific safety requirements when working on vehicles, basic electrical principles and understanding, as well as much more. All while you get paid! After completing the Fundamentals you will start to dive deeper into each sub system of a vehicle and gain more specialized knowledge of braking, Steering and Suspension, Electrical, Engines, Transmission and many other systems. All while being paid to learn as well as gaining pay raises as you complete certifications. During the second phase you will continue to work in the express bay but will also gain more in depth experience by assisting Senior level technicians in your down time. This hands-on training will help prepare you to take and pass both your Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions license, allowing you to advance further. During this phase you will continue to complete Manufacture web based training, as well as start to attend both Virtual classroom training and hands on manufacture training. As you transition into the third Phase, you will start to work daily one on one with a senior technician and transition out of the express lube bays. At this time you will be provided a starter set of tools needed to perform your role as an entry level technician a $4500.00 value, these tools will become your personal property at the completion of the Apprenticeship program. The mentoring Technician will provide you with the added training and knowledge on how to become a productive Technician, this is the one of a kind training that can not be accomplished at a college or vocational school! Once you have demonstrated your ability to work independently. You will move to work on your own where your mentor will oversee and assist only as needed. Upon completion of this Program you will have the training and ability to work unassisted on customer vehicles performing a multitude of diagnostics and repairs. Shifts vary between 7am- 7pm Monday- Friday and 7am-3pm Saturday.

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License

Ability to lift 30lbs

Mechanically inclined
