Job Description
As a Staff Technical Writer, Financial Services Cloud, you're a creative problem solver with excellent people skills who knows what your customers need. You have proven experience writing easy-to-read help, UI text, and guides, as well as creating videos, tutorials, and other user assistance for enterprise business applications. You aren't afraid of code or complex technologies, and, ideally, have experience producing API or other developer documentation. You enjoy information design for large-scale projects and you are excited about collaborating with multiple stakeholders to build high quality content for different audiences. You have strong project management and organizational skills, excellent communications skills, and the tenacity, humor, and people skills to work with and efficiently obtain information from a wide variety of team members. You can also create tutorials, videos, and other user assistance to help developers build on our infrastructure. You're a great match if you're self-directed, passionate about technology, produce high-quality documentation, and understand how your work contributes to the overall success of the company. Responsibilities: Own, create, and maintain documentation and in-app assistance for the
Salesforce Industries Financial Services vertical.
Required Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience documenting software for technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables within tight deadlines
• Ability to respond quickly and confidently to shifting priorities
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Ability to write clean, concise, and approachable docs
• Experience creating clear, effective UI text
• Experience writing API documentation
• Experience documenting SaaS applications or enterprise-class client/server software
• Experience with XML-based authoring tools such as Oxygen and knowledge of DITA
• Ability to quickly learn new and complex technologies
• Excellent problem solver
• Strong team player
• Strong advocate for the customer
• Track record of improving existing styles, processes, and teams
• Ability to work with management to establish goals and priorities
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or communications field
Preferred Experience:
• Experience creating in-app tutorials or other training materials
• Experience with source control software such as Perforce or Git
• Experience with video and image editing software

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $120,300 to $180,500.
For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $109,400 to $150,500.
For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $109,400 to $165,500.
For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $120,300 to $180,500.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
