Job Location: Carmel, Indiana- Eagan, Minnesota- Little Rock, Arkansas
Our Technical Writerwill be responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining Operating Procedures (OPs) for MISO, and assisting with Event Review Reports. You will collaborate with SMEs to gather information to ensure accuracy. You will also be responsible for conducting periodic reviews of existing procedures and capturing lessons learned from events to identify opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to understand complex technical information. S/he will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.

What we are looking for…
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field, (or 4 years relevant work experience equivalency)
- 4 plus years’ experience
- Procedure Professionals Association (PPA) procedure writing certification (preferred)
- Previous energy industry experience (preferred)
- NERC certification (optional)
- Technical Writing
- Adobe FrameMaker, or experience working in similar writing software
- Document Management System knowledge
- Prior experience working in a regulated environment using writing standards
- Understanding NERC, FERC Regulatory Compliance Requirements (preferred)
- Ability to develop, communicate, and coordinate project plans and projects.
- Comprehension of complex business scenarios; including the ability to define problems, collect & analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
