Technical Writer

Position Description and Responsibilities:

The manager/Technical Writer position reports directly to the CEO or other individual as designated by the GMG CEO. This position supports GMG business development strategic objectives and program requirements. This position is full-time and is classified as exempt.

The manager/Technical Writer must ensure that all technical documentation is accurate, complete, and meets government specifications towards meeting all the RFP requirements and evaluation criterion. All products must be edited and proofread prior to submission to the CEO.

Priorities

• Perform daily searches on SAM, and RFP subscription services to identify potential opportunities and perform research intelligence on opportunities identified.
• Prepare project plan for pipeline of approved opportunities with due dates and milestones.
• Attend weekly meetings with CEO to discuss opportunity pipeline and priorities.
• Update opportunity watch list weekly or as needed.
• Work with H/R to source resumes for opportunities being pursued.
• Prepare assigned sections of approved technical proposals for submission.
• Prepare and attend oral presentations as needed.
• Request proposal debriefings on unsuccessful offers.
• Develop and/or revise current or new GMG Corporate summaries and other boiler plate language for proposals.
• Maintain a proposal repository on the server- indexing proposals by type, agency etc.
• Work with the H/R department to develop advertisements and job descriptions for recruitment of potential project positions.
• Respond to all agency clarification requests on submitted opportunities by coordinating responses with all stakeholders and SME’s while ensuring that responses are received within the stipulated timeframe.
• Prepare and submit all FOIA information request.
• Prepare Past performance compilation and organize in GMG format and branding image.
• Organize all GMG Graphics for proposals.
• Assist with transitioning projects as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
