The American Crystal Sugar Team is looking for a Technical Training Leadat the East Grand Forks, MN factory. The Technical Training Lead will provide various process, maintenance, and safety training at the factory site. They will monitor and mentor student progress through programs, both in classroom and on the floor. The Technical Training Lead develops and ensures the updated training materials are maintained for all programs at their location.
The principal accountabilities include training in the following programs:
Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
Process Tech Program
Incumbents develop, implement and oversee the programs. Ensures the integrity of the process Technical Training by providing technical expertise and direction to all Process Tech students. This applies to the PT classroom, and Process Tech I, II and III.
Process Tech IV, V and VI
Develops and implements training/rotation plans within program guidelines for new hires and Process Tech IV, V and VI students. This includes leading classroom instruction and on the floor training, as well as assessments of various designated groups of employees.
Boiler Tech Program
Assists with training related to factory steam and condensate flows, assists with record keeping, assists with storage of training materials.
Maintenance Training
Coordinates, tracks and assists with American Crystal's MSET (Maintenance Skills Enhancement Training) program, oversees all Specialized training programs which includes classroom lectures and assessing, both written and on the job performance.
Training Tracking System
Manages the tracking and training record keeping requirements for each training classification and all students at their location. In addition, ensures individual training plans for all students, ensuring rotation and coordination of all training activities. Implement systems as designed and train factory supervisors in the use of the system and reporting capabilities.
Safety
The Technical Training Leads includes safe work processes in all training materials and activities to ensure the Company's safety policies and procedures are understood and followed by students.
To be successful in this position requires technical knowledge normally gained through the completion of a four-year technical degree, or work experience in a related technical area. A complete understanding of the technical aspects of the sugar-making process is a requirement as well as knowledge of SOP guidelines, Food Quality, Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, personal safety, and general mechanical knowledge. Training presentation skills, good computer skills and communication abilities are necessary to conduct Technical Training and access student results. Administrative, organizational, and training/coaching skills are essential in this position.
