Description

 SAIC is hiring for aTechnical Support V who will act as a data link subject matter expert (SME) while providing expertise in preventative maintenance, managing systems, and training. The SME will report to the 609 ACOMS commander and work closely with the Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO), as directed by or coordinated with the 609 ACOMS Commander. This position is located in Shaw Airforce Base, SC.

JOB DUTIES:

• Will be Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining onsite JRE systems,
• Maintaining system configurations and security baselines.
• Patching vulnerabilities to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems.
• Performing checks to ensure system operational availability, functionality, and efficiency.
• Diagnosing and remedying customer-reported system incidents, problems, and events.
• Isolating and resolving system, interface, connectivity, and interoperability problems.
• Performing necessary field repairs on faulty system hardware.
• Coordinating factory-level diagnosis and repair of faulty equipment and components.
• Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting system performance metrics and trends.
• Identifying and recommending hardware and software upgrades or enhancements.
• Monitoring obsolete component conditions, and providing tech refresh recommendations.
• Providing solutions for evolving customer JRE system and software requirements.
• Providing basic familiarization training to local JRE operators, maintainers, and users.
• Must be able to work 0730 to 1630 (local), Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. However, flexible shift hours and/or irregular shifts may be required to support the mission. The Contractor shall provide support coverage throughout the period of performance of this contract.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Secret Clearance
•  Security + Cyber certification

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior military datalink experience
• Proficiency with Link 16 terminals and tactical radios
• Experience working within or with the USAF Air Operations Center (AOC) personnel
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple sources
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills working in a team environment with positive interaction
• Must be proactive in dealing with requests and be able to work independently.
• 5 years’ experience working within Multi-TDN
• 5 years experience testing and evaluating tactical data system and their hardware
• Proficiency with the SAIC Joint Range Extension (JRE) gateway
