SalaryStotz Equipment, a John Deere dealer, is looking for a Technical Support Specialist. This individual will be a resource for Service Departments across all 25 locations. The Technical Support Specialist will have responsibility for moving our company forward in technology-based areas that will provide leading-edge support for our customers. A portion of the responsibilities for this position is to be part of a Technical Support Group that will be responsible for assisting technicians to become more efficient in diagnosing solutions to repairs. - Find solutions to complex problems:
- Use of systems to find solutions Expert Connect, Service Advisor, CCMS, CDK, Warranty Reports
- Utilize team to learn from past experiences
- Be in contact with a network of technicians, who are the experts of various product lines, to use as a resource when information is not readily available
- Understand and utilize the John Deere system to act as a liaison for technicians when solutions cannot be found through other means
- Analyze data and communicate information back to technicians through Expert Connect or phone call
- Become a product expert and develop a skill set to help optimize equipment over the phone
- Be a part of a team that manages Technical Support Group cases after hours
- Utilize and understand AMS products, JD Link, Operation Center, and other technology products to a level where diagnose-related issues
- Submitting and managing CCMS cases
- Fully documenting all related information of repair for service departments use and future reference
What It Takes:
Candidates should be able to complete the following job requirements:
- Proficient in the following areas:
- Electrical Diagnostics (CANBUS, sensors, relays, switches, etc.) o Diesel Engine Diagnostics and Repair (forced induction systems, high-pressure fuel systems, heads, bottom ends, etc.)
- Hydraulics (rams, plumbing, SCV’s, etc.)
- SCR Systems Diagnostics and Repair (DEF systems, DPF, emissions sensors, etc.)
- Transmission (powershift, powerquad, IVT, hydro, gear shift, etc.)
- Axles (gearsets, bearings, final drives, etc.)
- Electronics (displays, MTG’s, GPS systems, etc.)
Preferred experience with any of the following equipment: Production AG
- Production Ag Tractors
- Choppers
- Combines
- Cotton pickers
- Sprayer
Preferred experience with any of the following equipment: Mid Ag / Hay
- Mid Ag Tractors
- Swathers
- Balers multiple brands (square and/or round)
- Sprayer
Ability to lead and work with others
- Well organized
- Communicate proficiently via email/voice/phone/text
- Ability to present to groups and train others
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
- Flexible schedule to meet demand during seasons
