Responsible for leading the support of the fleet of PC’s, laptops, and Thin Client devices including imaging of OS, application sets and peripheral devices. Works closely with Business Analysts, Software Developers, Systems Integration Team, Security Team, IT Managers, the business, and our vendors/business partners as an integral part of the ITSM support process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with development of policies and procedures as it relates to the response to customer inquiries on technical products and services including installation, operational functions, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Guide junior team members who provide customers with preventative maintenance and configuration recommendations to improve product usability, performance, and customer satisfaction
- Plan to implement, analyze, maintain, and support PC security
- Locate and repair security problems and failures
- Provide Technical Support to OD staff related to PC security
- Develop and maintain documentation to maintain secure computing environment
- Perform system and application vulnerability testing and communicate results to management
- Serve as point of contact for all warranty and non-warranty parts replacements
- Provide escalated Technical Support
- Test, document and recommend applications and operating system updates
- Diagnose and repair Windows Desktop software
- Serve as liaison to leadership on treads and/or recurring issues with hardware and software
- Provides status of all retired/decommissioned hardware to IT leadership
- Work with vendors and business partners to remediate hardware and applications challenges
Job Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 5 years of experience providing Technical Support
- Advanced Technical Support knowledge including Active Directory, end-user device computing and security
- Knowledge of all major computer brands, their warranty processes and replacement policies
- Knowledge of software, technologies, and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
