We are currently looking for a TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER, CAM SPECIALIST who will earn tons of SOLIDWORKS certifications as they become a CAMWorks and SOLIDWORKS CAM expert. This is an entry-level technical position for degreed Mechanical Engineers. Non-engineers with previous CNC programming experience will be considered. It’s your choice if you’d like to work remotely, or from one of our U.S. offices. Please note that this role will be required to work Pacific Coast hours.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN THIS TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER, CAM SPECIALIST ROLE?

  • Provide Technical Support to external customers in a post-sales capacity
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in SOLIDWORKS & CAMWorks applications
  • Learn new skills and applications as new products are launched
  • Constantly communicate with customers via phone, chat, and e-mail to solve installation, crashing, and general usage type cases

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED AS A TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER, CAM SPECIALIST?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or extensive CNC programming experience required
  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAM or CAMWorks (experience with similar applications such as MasterCAM will also be considered)
  • Real-world insight & knowledge of the values of CAM applications and machining processes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English), as well as outstanding customer relations skills
  • Personable, hardworking, autonomous, team player with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks while employing a positive, solution-oriented attitude
  • Excellent problem definition and problem-solving skill
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems & MS Office products
  • Experience with TCP/IP troubleshooting is a plus
  • Must be able to work from 8 AM - 5:00 PM (PST) with a scheduled hour for lunch

Hawk Ridge Systems has determined that the new hire pay range for this role is between $56,600 and $70,800. Your base pay will be based on a number of factors, including knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Since we appreciate transparency, we are sharing that we expect to hire for this position up to mid-range (dependent on experience/location), which will allow you the opportunity to progress as you grow in your career.
