ARE YOU THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER OUR TEAM NEEDS?
- Technical diploma or higher degree in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in process automation (process control system, visualization system), or customer service
- Ability to understand process flows, P&ID, wiring diagrams or electrical circuits, HMI, and manuals
- Excellent interpersonal skills, phone etiquette, teamwork ability, and customer orientation
- Ability to read and interpret code of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) programs
- Experience in industrial standards (ProfiNet, Profibus, network topology)
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, TIA Portal, SAP C4C (Cloud 4 Customer), TeamViewer, and STEP7
- Ability to travel 10% - 20%
Field service experience is highly preferred. The ability to speak additional language skills such as Spanish or Portuguese is also a huge plus!
WHAT VITAL ASSISTANCE DO YOU PROVIDE?
As a remote Technical Support Engineer, you'll work full-time according to a schedule in shifts, with the flexibility to accommodate weeknights and weekends on a rotating, on-call basis.
As a remote Technical Support Engineer, you'll spend your days providing troubleshooting and resolution of software and hardware issues reported by customers. You'll deliver high-quality and remote customer support in a contact center format, using a global ticketing system, for various products and applications across business units. Additionally, you'll complete task management in the ticketing system/service cloud and initiate the quality notification process.
Your proactive communication with local Buhler organizations, specialists, and external customers will be key in resolving issues and ensuring high customer satisfaction. You'll also collaborate with Buhler organizations to arrange services for repairing or replacing defective products. You will support digital service solutions for our local Buhler organizations and customers, utilizing data analytic dashboards, system notifications, and early warnings from IoT.
