Job description:
In this role you will be responsible for developing and manage OEMs Technical Service related issues in North America for the Division Service in line with the Group vision, mission and strategy. Fully accountable for technical customer service and consultancy incl. commercial settlement of warranty & goodwill cases for OEM's claims, following any Turbocharger issues for North American High Speed OEM customers.
Reporting to General Manager for New Product & REMAN/ Service Business - Bolingbrook REMAN Center, you will be in charge of all aspects of providing excellent technical support to foster our customers in the execution of their businesses.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensuring a fast & smooth problem solving in the field by timely investigation of turbocharger problems, strong communication and finding sustainable technical solutions in co-operation with other divisions and external partners.
- Settle commercial warranty and goodwill cases under consideration of the overall relationship with the customer and Accelleron's business interests.
- Monitoring of warranty and goodwill costs.
- Continuously improve long-term customer interaction / relationship and as well as the quality of assigned products.
- Develop and release technical information (e.g. Service News Letters) to customers and the Service network.
- Ensuring a structured information flow from product field experience back to R&D for improvement of existing and development of new products.
- Managing bad workmanship cases with Service Network.
- Provide failure investigation and documentation including investigation reports and take leading role in communicating with Customers.
- Represent or eventually take ownership for implementing CPIs measures (upgrading campaign). Keep track of the progress and record incurred cost.
Your background:
- University degree, both technical and commercial knowledge
- Sound professional experience in ICE or turbomachinery (10 years).
- English, other languages of advantage
- Relevant experience in international business environment
- Customer communication & negotiation skills
- Experience in costumer negotiations.
- Profound knowledge of products, their applications and customer's Market.
