Your role:
  • This person is a technical trusted advisor to partners, working closely with their technical leadership teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide the technical and business guidance and recommendations on best practices necessary to promote successful partner engagements validating POCs, SOWs, new solutions and architecture designs.
  • Demonstrate vision, creativity, business acumen and deep technical knowledge in jointly developing industry and vertical partner solutions and strategy.
  • Champion partner activation, and partner practice development and growth.
  • Present and enable the partner community by participating in external events, such as summits, webinars and product launches.
  • Provides upsell/cross-sell and guidance on deployment, execution and implementation strategies (e.g. Professional Services) to achieve technical and business outcomes throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • This role is a field-based sales and technical role with focus on reseller/partners and is part of the sales organization.

What you bring to the role:
  • Should have a proven track record of successfully facilitating and enabling sales of Cisco Secure solutions.
  • Should have a working understanding of Cisco Secure solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Confer with customers to assess business and technical requirements and collaborate with sales teams to understand customer landscape and provide Technical Sales advisement.
  • Plan and design solutions to meet customer needs/requirements and align solution with existing customer initiatives and infrastructure.
  • Recommend and explain proposed solutions and benefits to customers.
  • Understand market awareness that differentiates industry solutions (Security, Cloud, Cyber Threat Landscape).
  • Experience with general cyber security, on-prem & cloud security, network infrastructure technologies, and how technology components interact at each layer of the OSI mode.
  • Detailed understanding of Web Protocols (HTTP(s), HTTP2) and understanding transport layer encryption technologies (TLS, SSL)
  • Experience in one or more public and private cloud environments
  • Experience with automation and orchestration
  • Experience with one of more of the following: L4/L7 Distributed Denial of Service threats, application security trends, application layer authentication and authorization technologies, automated threat detection and mitigation, and API Security concepts.

Technical skills/experience:
  • Should hold fundamental network credentials (e.g., CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience); Cisco CCNA certification, Cisco CCNP Security, Cisco Fire Jumper, or equivalent a plus.
  • Experience / familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Cisco XDR, SPLUK, Arctic Wolf); and Public Cloud (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP).
  • Experience / familiarity with Cisco tools (CCW, Partner Self Service, Program Access and Management, PXP)
  • Should be comfortable positioning the WHY rather than the HOW. The candidate will be expected to get certified Cisco Secure Black Belt and Fire Jumper.
  • Additional experience a plus in: Cross Vendor API integrations, Cisco Secure Management Platforms (Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center, Cisco Defense Orchestrator), Cisco CLI Commands
  • To be effective, needs to have excellent technical skills and knowledge on both Cisco Secure Solutions and the "eco-system" that Cisco Secure architectures works in.
  • Provides strategic consulting, technology enablement, training and education to reseller business customers - with a goal of growing their sales of Cisco Secure Solutions, technologies and services with Ingram at a faster rate.
  • Executes MBOs on a quarterly basis that are tightly aligned to strategic vendor management and sales objectives.
  • Knowledge of SASE and Zero Trust
  • Four-year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field)
  • Minimum 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (potentially including international travel)

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $86,900.00 - $147,700.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
