Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a key member of the Central Region sales team to join as a Technical Sales Representative. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving business growth for their analytical instruments line of mixers and extruders within the territory of ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI, and IL. Ideally located near Chicago, your base, but other major cities in the territory are also viable.
The base salary range for this position is $89,000 to $100,000, complemented by an uncapped commission plan that pays monthly from dollar one and includes bonuses for exceeding targets. Additional benefits comprise a monthly car allowance and mileage reimbursement, full benefits, a profit-sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.
Responsibilities:
- Generating and developing new accounts while effectively managing existing accounts.
- Presenting to small and large audiences, including C-suite executives, production and lab managers, and technicians.
- Qualifying opportunities, developing and presenting proposals, and closing business.
- Experience selling into the rubber, plastics, or food industries, with preference given to those with analytical instruments sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen.
- Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or engineering is preferred.
- Availability for frequent overnight travel (up to 75%).
- Valid driver's license and passport.
