POSITION SUMMARY
The Inside Technical Sales Representative is responsible for proactively calling and contacting potential customers for sales of service solutions including warranties, extended service agreements, cloud backups, startup services and machine tuning.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
· Develop existing accounts by analyzing customer’s buying history; suggesting related and new services and explaining solution benefits
· Complete daily outbound calls to customers with expiring service agreements or warranties
· Develop new accounts by researching and identifying potential leads, cold calling, soliciting new business, building connections, providing technical information and advice, and preparing quotes
· Plan and organize the day for sales team
· Work within internal MEAU sources to optimize functionality across teams (IT, Marketing, Credit, and ITS)
· Ensure that “closed won” deals are syncing between salesforce and SAP
· Develop cost analysis for end user equipment
· Assist sales team, service engineers and Customer Care with quotation development
· Act as a resource to outside sales and service engineers to help grow the business
· Log customer information and opportunities in Salesforce CRM system
· Continuously expand job knowledge by studying new products & services and participating in ongoing training
· Manage high volume of calls, based on tradeshow leads, ICONICS renewals, and when Inside Technical Sales Manager needs assistance with call numbers for Inside Technical Sales team.
· Utilize “Maps” features in salesforce to forecast and optimate optimize sales strategy for revenue goals
· May be required to follow other job-related instructions and perform additional duties as assigned

Travel Requirements
· Potential for up to 20% travel based on customer demand, primarily with the United States
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, technical schooling or equivalent related experience
· Proven success in an inside sales role
· Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
· Ability to explain the technical aspects of our service solutions portfolio
· Track record of over-achieving quota
· Proficient with Microsoft Office
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Strong listening skills
BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Experience in Computerized Numeric Controls (CNCs) products preferred
· Experience in field service
· Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
· Knowledge of the Japanese Culture as it pertains to business conduct and communication
· Familiarity and/or experience with other factory automation products such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and motion control
· Bilingual in Spanish
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
· Required ability to organize and prioritize working activities (flexibility)
· Must be detail-oriented and extremely accurate
· Need to be capable of extensive or high volume of paperwork/digital data
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
