Job Summary:
Tundra Federal is looking for a Technical Editor to review, and interpret IT Architecture designs, program processes/plans, training curriculums, and other technical documents for an Air Force IT program. The Editor will work closely with the program team to ensure deliverables are accurate and meet contract requirements.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Edits IT Architecture and Engineering designs and documentation, CDRLs, and other technical and program deliverables, ensure format meets company and customer templates, and proofread for grammar and spelling mistakes.
- Reviews engineering data/drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples.
- Explains technical ideas in simple language.
- Reviews and updates charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts.
- Follows a document development life cycle process.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in Technical Writing and Editing.
- Experience in technical writing and editing Department of Defense (DoD) CDRLs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Demonstrated excellence in speaking, reading, and writing in American English using proper grammar and punctuation.
- Active Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- Knowledge of the Air Force Tongue and Quill.
- Experience creating USAF technical orders, training documents, and CDRLs.
