Job Description
Global Systems Technologies, Inc. (GST) a prime federal contractor for the Transportation Security Administration, is seeking candidates for several Technical Documentation and Communication Support Specialists. GST is building a team to assist the TSA in developing a major centralized environment for systems modeling and analysis. This is a unique, new initiative that offers candidates the opportunity to have a direct and lasting impact with the customer. We are looking for multiple candidates at various levels of experience, with a preference towards those who can commute to Crystal City, VA on occasion. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance - preference for active clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or 10+ relevant years of work experience
- Manage and develop responses to requests for information related to the technical programs and activities
- Establish new products, update and maintenance of existing products covering the breadth of all technical programs including Program Management Reviews, Strategic Priorities, presentations, Service Catalog, work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports and newsletters
- Support hosting information/data management, archiving, and maintenance support includes materials hosted on shared drives, iShare, SharePoint Mission Risk Knowledge Center (MRKC), or other data repositories
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ relevant years of work experience
- Develop responses to requests for information related to the technical programs and activities
- Assist in establishing new products, update and maintenance of existing products covering the breadth of all technical programs including Program Management Reviews, Strategic Priorities, presentations, Service Catalog, work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports and newsletters
- Assist with hosting information/data management, archiving, and maintenance support includes materials hosted on shared drives, iShare, SharePoint Mission Risk Knowledge Center (MRKC), or other data repositories
- HS Diploma and 3+ relevant years of work experience
- Provide technical meeting coordination and logistic support including distribution and meeting location reservations, participant instruction, agenda, meeting minute preparation, and action item tracking
- Support planning and coordination of technical industry days and conferences, both in-person and virtual
- Support meetings including staff meetings where technical existing and emerging projects are reviewed
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain TSA Public Trust Clearance
- Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance
- Thorough understanding of program/project management techniques and methods

GST is the prime contractor for (among others) the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Professional Engineering and Logistics Support Services (PELSS-3) contract, supporting the fields of baggage screening, passenger screening, surveillance, air cargo/ intermodal security and technology integration. Under this contract, we interface with Government and international entities, equipment manufacturers, airports, and personnel from all modes of transportation. We provide liaison to the R&D community, report on emergent technologies, perform trade off studies, develop system architectures, and produce standards, specifications and requirements.
GST also supports the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) at the W.J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, NJ. Technical support ranges from lab management to research and development (R&D) on the detectable properties of explosives and other dangerous materials, new technology for explosive detection in passenger and cargo screening, testing and certification of explosive detection equipment.
