Job Description
Your Career
Our Learning & Enablement team is in search of a skilled Curriculum and Training Developer, specializing in equipping our Systems Engineers (SEs) with comprehensive learning resources. We are looking for an individual with a strong technical foundation, adept at working both independently and collaboratively with content creators and subject matter experts.
As part of this role, you'll be involved in intricate projects covering our complete product portfolio. These projects will address scenarios where a thorough evaluation of diverse customer factors is crucial. Beyond your specialized expertise, you'll actively engage with key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across domains. Proficiency in instructional design and learning development principles will be essential as you shape these learning experiences.
In addition, your expertise in SD-WAN, IP Routing, network security (IPsec / VPN / NAT / Wireless Security), and SASE (secure remote access, network security, zero-trust network access) will contribute to a well-rounded skill set. This combination of skills will empower you to create impactful learning resources that enable our Systems Engineers to excel.
Your Impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain training content and curricula serving the learning needs of our Systems Engineers on Palo Alto Networks' products
  • Translate intricate sales, customer, and technical concepts into effective learning solutions
  • Collaborate with experts and SE leaders to ensure precise, up-to-date, and advanced training content
  • Ensure high-quality training content by performing ongoing testing, troubleshooting, and updating training content, demonstrations, hands-on labs, and assessments
  • Create instructor-led training, digital learning, product demonstrations, role-playing scenarios, and hands-on labs to reinforce product knowledge
  • Identify, implement, and optimize enablement tools and platforms that facilitate the delivery and consumption of pre-sales training content
  • Gather feedback and continuously update training materials to enhance effectiveness and relevance
  • Be responsive to the fast-paced nature of innovation and revise content in a structured and timely manner
  • Meet deadlines and reprioritize as needed for timely completion of course-related deliverables
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and implement a variety of networking, network security, and cloud technologies
  • Contribute to cross-functional team projects
  • Stay current on the cyber threat landscape and adjacent technologies that range from general networking to endpoint systems, from SaaS to Public Cloud infrastructure to Machine Learning

Qualifications
Your Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical curriculum development, as a technical instructor, or as a solutions engineer
  • Proven track record in designing curriculum, including comprehensive course planning, and the ability to seamlessly develop instructional content and assessments that align with various learning objectives
  • Demonstrable examples showcasing your eLearning course development skills
  • Experience creating and managing production training labs, developing interactive eLearning and video modules using at least one Learning Management System
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, a related field, or equivalent military experience is required
  • Proficient in at least one of the following areas
    • Networking
    • Network security
    • Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW)
    • Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
    • Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions
    • Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN)
    • Autonomous Digital Experience Management
  • Proficiency in tools such as
    • Articulate
    • Evolve
    • Captivate
    • Camtasia
    • Adobe Suite
    • Google Suite

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $109,600/yr to $177,200/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
