CDI is currently in need of a UC/Voice/Collaboration Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a mid-level role within CDI’s Network & Collaboration delivery environment. CDI is rapidly growing their Network, Network Security and Unified Communications practice. CDI is committed to utilizing leading edge technology to achieve the business model that management has tasked us as a company to achieve. This position will be technology and customer satisfaction focused and will require skills pertaining directly to our partners’ full suite of Network, Network Security and Collaboration offerings. The successful candidate will provide technical and project management leadership to the IT Network Services team for the planning, design, and implementation of Cisco Call Manager, Unity Connection, and Unified Contact Center Express. Responsible for the achievement of corporate sales and service goals to build customer (external/internal) relationships and enhance shareholder value.
Primary Requirements:
- Work closely with CDI management, Cisco and any third-party vendors to implement Unified Communications & Video solutions. These solutions will be customized to each client’s environment and will meet all requirements established by our clients.
- Document all aspects of the delivery as it pertains to installation, configuration, and maintenance of the delivered environment.
- Learn and embrace new vendor-agnostic collaboration technologies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain the Cisco IP Communications infrastructure components, including:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (Unified CME)
- Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
- Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX)
- Cisco IM & Presence (IM&P)
- Cisco Expressway Core & Edge
- Cisco Video Solutions
- Cisco IP Telephones
- Third-Party Applications
- Have a working knowledge of network infrastructure components that support the Unified communications solution, with emphasis on voice gateways, such as the following:
- Cisco Switching
- Cisco Integrated Services Routers (29XX, 39XX, 4XXX)
- Cisco Analog Gateways
- SIP
- MGCP
- H.323
- Install, upgrade, and maintain cloud collaboration solutions (UCaaS) including:
- Webex Meetings/IM/Calling
- Webex Calling with Cloud PSTN
- Webex Calling with Local Gateway
- Webex Contact Center
- Microsoft PBX
- Microsoft Teams with Cloud PSTN
- Microsoft Teams with Direct Routing (Bring Your Own Carrier via Supported Third Party SBC)
- Microsoft Teams Meetings
- Zoom Phone
- Zoom Phone with Cloud PSTN
- Zoom Phone with Bring Your Own Carrier
- Zoom Meetings
- Webex Meetings/IM/Calling
- Perform Testing
- Perform detailed system level testing of all applications and devices
- Perform detailed user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Perform Training
- End user training
- Administrator training
- Support customer facing third-party training resources
- Provide Project Closeout Documents
- As-Built documentation
- Design/Topology drawings
- Detailed testing documentation (system/user)
- Maintain a clear and open line of communication with CDI management as to the ongoing status of each project, scheduling conflicts and delivery methodologies.
- Qualified candidates are preferred to have a Cisco CCNA-Collaboration and or CCNP- Collaboration Certification.
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of experience with enterprise IP Telephony, PBX, Voice/Unified Messaging, and Call / Contact Center (ACD, IVR, CTI) systems
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP internetworking, with a strong preference for those candidates with experience in designing, planning, and implementing LANs and WANs using Cisco technology
- Ability to work weekends and after-hours as necessary to resolve operational issues and meet the needs of our business partners
- Travel within the New York Metro Area.
