The Permutive Technical Consulting team is a newly formed team that will be responsible for launching a new technology and service offering within Permutive to help solve our customer's bespoke needs. The team helps leading publishers understand how Permutive's technology can help them solve their needs that extend beyond the core Permutive product offering.
The Technical Consulting team works closely with various teams across the business, connecting Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. Your expertise in software development, business consulting, and sales is leveraged every day to drive innovation and new business. As a technical expert, you and the Sales/Client team bridge the gap between customer goals and our technology.
The team is responsible for delivering technical solutions so our customers can derive maximum value from Permutive. You and the client-facing teams will also work closely with our more innovative customers to understand how they're delivering ROI and explore their ideas for new use cases and features that we can build on top of Permutive to solve. Technical Consultants are experts on the Permutive platform, seeking opportunities for software development and delighting our customers with capabilities to solve their bespoke pains.
What you'll be doing...
- Partner with Sales Directors & Client Partners to collaboratively solution with new & existing customers of Permutive
- Bring our customers on a journey with Permutive by producing and delivering tailored software development on Permutive's platform
- Accelerate deals by communicating highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive-level decision-makers
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Engineering, Product, Support, and Customer Success to provide the voice of customer feedback
- Build confidence with the prospects & customers close to signature by scoping and delivering solution designs to capture their needs and Permutive's ability to deliver on them
- Act as the trusted expert in the room for prospects & customers during the sales process

What you'll need...
- Previous experience in a pre or post-sales technical position, providing customer development expertise or experience as a Software Engineer who has worked with cross-functional customer-facing teams.
- Commutable distance to NYC, you will be required to meet with customers and internal teams on a regular basis.
- Good understanding of the full web tech stack (HTML, JavaScript, Typescript,REST APIs)
- Backend development experience with languages such as Python or Java and query language (e.g. SQL) - Scala is a nice to have
- Experience with building solutions on Google Cloud Platform offerings (e.g. BigQuery, Cloud Run) and/or Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version management tools (e.g. git)
- Experience with Terraform is a nice to have
- Customer management through pre-sales scoping, solution design, and solution delivery
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Being able to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Strong organizational skills along with the ability to work to a deadline
- Enthusiasm to be a part of a fast-paced company
What we are offering…
We take a structured, objective approach to salary-setting, which is based on market information, our compensation strategy, and your experience and capability as assessed through our interview process. For a typical candidate who meets our requirements, we pay a base salary between $110,000 - $120,000 with a 10% bonus based on company and individual performance.
