Form of workRedpill is building the AAA platform for the creation, distribution, monetization, and cloud rendering of next-generation live virtual events empowering DJs, musicians, performers, and the unreal content development community to deliver the most compelling way to experience a live event at home.
Redpill VR is looking for an experienced technical animation programmer to be responsible for advancing Redpill VR's end-to-end real-time DJ Virtualization pipeline. This will include the design and development of a high-quality, scalable, Unreal Engine 5-based in-game real-time Character Animation system to support a synchronized DJ hand and body tracking for use in live music events.
In addition, the successful candidate will have:
5+ years of AAA Game Development and/or Virtual Reality production experience
3+ years experience in a technical leadership position.
3+ years of Unreal Engine experience
Expert Knowledge of Real-Time Character Animation pipelines
Expert Knowledge of Blueprint / Animation Blueprint Scripting
Advanced Knowledge of real-time facial animation in Unreal.
Advanced Knowledge of Runtime Control Rigs
Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 Control Rigs, IK Rigs, and IK Retargeting
Advanced knowledge of Unreal virtual production tools and systems, especially LiveLink
C++ programming for Unreal Engine is a strong plus
Experience with leap-motion hand-tracking and image-based pose estimation is a plus
Direct practical experience with XSens, Optitrack, Vicon, or other commercial performance capture systems is a plus.
Familiarity with other hand and body tracking solutions and their usage is a plus
Experience with multiplayer game development a plus
