We are seeking a talented and dedicated Technical Writer to join our team and provide targeted technical writing support across the PEO Digital area of responsibility. In this role, you will be a vital contributor to PEO Digital's digital transformation efforts by ensuring that documentation is clear, consistent, and meets all necessary requirements. As a Technical Writer with us, you will leverage your technical writing expertise and project management skills to maintain the highest standards of documentation quality within the PEO.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, reports, guides, and procedures.
- Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
- Work closely with project managers and teams to meet documentation deadlines and milestones.
- Translate complex technical information into user-friendly and accessible content.
- Ensure that all documentation aligns with the PEO's objectives and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain version control and document change management processes.
- Assist in the development of templates and style guides for standardized documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a defense or technology-related field.
- Strong project management skills to coordinate documentation efforts effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in industry-standard documentation tools and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with government or defense documentation standards (e.g., MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-2361) is a plus.
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,858.00 - $81,075.00 per year
