Form of workUnder the immediate supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs manipulative, nondiscretionary functions associated with the practice of pharmacy. Enters prescription details in patient’s medication profile, selects correct medication and strength, places in appropriate container, and applies label before referring to a pharmacist for review. Checks and restocks supplies, packages and label products, fills and delivers orders, compounds medications (including IV admixture) as necessary. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and reverence for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.
EDUCATION- Education: High school or equivalent preferred. Documentation of enrollment in Washington State approved Pharmacy Technician license.
- Experience: Recent previous hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician and computer training preferred.
Required Certification: Washington State licensed Pharmacy Technician, valid Washington State Driver’s License. Preferred Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification, Chemotherapy Compounding Certificate
- Other: Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
