Description
The Tech Lead - Solution Architect will manage the rules of Genetic Utilization for globally licensed traits and germplasm, which includes the regulation of shipping, planting, use of markers, and progression of genetic components.
Responsibilities:
Be a thought leader working in an Agile team, show a passion to continuously learn, improve, and share your knowledge.
- Develop with leading edge technologies while keeping an eye on bleeding edge technologies, practices, and processes
- Mentor and promote technical design, coding, and testing in your team.
- Engage with the Data and Architecture (D&A) team and others to help build and maintain standards and shared solutions promoting high quality
- Actively work on an agile development team with software developers, product owners, and data scientists
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and support a variety of multi-tier, high performance solutions for Research and Development (R&D)
- Develop testing frameworks that will enable developers to integrate their tests and ensure the whole systems is working as designed.
- Integrate front-end GUIs with back-end databases, APIs, and other computational and testing frameworks
- Provide accurate scoping and estimation of development efforts for projects based on product requirements
- Ensure that projects are developed in accordance with FS&D's Software Engineering architectural and UI/UX standards
- Differentiating factors – Azure/AWS experience, Angular experience, Testing experience
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Requires 3+ years of regulatory and compliance experience
- BS - Computer Science / Software Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in developing software web applications in an Agile setting using MS .Net/SQL technologies and Agular.
Competencies:
- Experience using established engineering methodologies through all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of common coding languages and frameworks. In particular: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, .Net, Angular 9+, and SQL)
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services/DevOps is required
