The Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA is seeking a Tech Lab Program Supervisor who will empower Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA members, teens, and community with cutting-edge technology skills, fostering creativity, innovation, and a passion for learning. Operate and maintain the full scope of services provided in the media lab including teen programming as well as adult space utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive tech and media Lab Programs for teens and adults.
- Provide leadership to a team of instructors, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking within the lab.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate emerging technologies into program offerings.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance program impact and relevance.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
- Facilitate and manage studio space and equipment utilization.
- Maintain safety and security of equipment and software in media lab.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Media Studies, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in designing and implementing tech and media programs for teens.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in media and digital development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
