Tech & Games Campus Recruitment Intern: NY - Summer 2024

Your New Role

As the Campus Recruitment Intern for Warner Bros. Discovery's Global Tech (Direct-to-Consumer) and Games businesses, you’ll be working in one of the most exciting and impactful spaces in the recruitment organization, helping to build the Warner Bros. Discovery Global Tech & Games Campus Recruiting footprint.

In partnership with the Tech & Games Campus Recruitment team, day to day you’ll be working with top universities and colleges to position WBD as an employer of choice among both undergraduate and post-graduate alumni. You’ll serve as brand ambassador in helping to attract the best and brightest upcoming Animation, Art, Tech, Product, Engineering, UX/UI and Data talent; supporting our Campus Recruiters across the end-to-end recruiting process.

This internship will be located in the NYC area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Support Campus Recruiters in partnering with HR and Business Leaders to create and execute a competitive top tier onboarding and development program for our intern and new graduate community

  • Plan and execute recruitment and internship program events to engage tech and games interns (eg. booking conference rooms, creating event marketing, sending materials, etc)

  • Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition and HR teams to create the best possible candidate experience

  • Maintain relationships with career centers, students and other university contacts

  • Draft mass communications, design flyers and marketing materials & partner with corporate intern team on weekly newsletter

  • Creating surveys, including but not limited to, intern, mentor and manager evaluations

  • Ad hoc requests from the Campus Recruitment team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must be actively enrolled in a n accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required )

  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)

  • Must be in academic good standing ( 3.0 or above GPA)

  • Interest in talent acquisition and recruitment

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT)

  • Self starter

  • Great communication and leadership skills

  • Creative mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo

  • Organized

  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for technology and games

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva a plus

  • Prior experience in the media and entertainment industry

What to know before applying:

The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.

Program date options:

Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th

Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd

  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.

  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

  • Interviewing will take place from March through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
