Maintenance Tech

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems such as HVAC systems, building access systems, security alarms,
and fire alarms to prevent disruption to operations. The Maintenance Technician proactively address
infrastructure malfunctions and coordinates with outside vendors when needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the
medical facilities
• Performs required testing in an ASC setting including but not limited to generators, electrical outlets, and
emergency lighting
• Diagnoses and repairs problems with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the facilities
• Installs and replaces new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and fixtures
• Completes minor construction and repair tasks including but not limited to drywall repair, interior
painting, and door hardware replacement
• Installs and assembles new equipment and fixtures according to blueprints and schematics
• Responds to emergency maintenance calls
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment ensuring compliance with company policies, safety
regulations, and building codes

Education and Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role
• Ability to legally operate a vehicle
Environmental/Working Conditions:
Working environment is varied among offices, medical space, and ambulatory surgery centers
Physical/Mental Demands:
• Requires lifting, carrying, or moving heavier objects (i.e. pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds and lifting
and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Sit or stand for long periods of time, walk for periods of time, kneel, crawl, stoop and climb stairs and
ladders
• Possess full range of motion in shoulders and arms, including reaching above or below the shoulder
• Ability to operate hand and power tools as needed
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
