Job description

Hourly rate: $23.00 per hour (DOE)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Coordinate, direct, and motivate employees to ensure that work is completed and orders are processed to exceed customer’s expectations. Assist the Order Fulfillment Center (OFC) management team as a leader in all OFC departments whenever necessary.
Complete workload / process orders to exceed customer’s expectations by efficiently, accurately, and safely processing the workload. Focus on actions that promote efficiency, accuracy, safety, and ongoing customer service through all outbound and inbound operations. Take actions that support the company’s customer service objectives. Support all functions of the OFC by successfully performing in a variety of positions in the operation. Follow and enforce all procedures and guidelines to exceed customer’s expectations.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Assist the department supervisor and manager in leading and directing employees. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: training employees; planning; assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Analyze workload and coordinate staff for efficient, accurate, and safe performance.
  • Ensure consistent execution of procedures and application of company policy.
  • Identify and communicate issues that would negatively impact customer service, safety, teamwork, and/or the profitability of the company.
  • Maintain excellent documentation regarding the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that impact the inbound operation. Ensure the integrity of all production and attendance information.
  • Routinely identify and question processes, practices, and business decisions that fail to support the company objectives.
  • Evaluate and analyze opportunities to improve labor, supplies, operating costs, service to the customers, and overall efficiency and quality.
  • Make recommendations through detailed and well thought out memos, reports, and e-mails.
  • Promote a safe work environment through completion of safety audits, employee coaching regarding safe work practices, and reporting all potential safety concerns.
  • Complete assigned workload according to procedures to meet or exceed department productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Effectively utilize system resources and equipment to process workload.
  • Identify and communicate issues that would negatively impact customer service, safety, teamwork, and/or the profitability of the company.
  • Execute workload in a manner that creates a positive impact on the overall operation, the current customers, and the future efficiency and service of the operation. Go beyond solving the immediate problem by determining courses of action that will minimize recurrence.
  • Operate vehicles per company safety policy and guidelines.
  • Assist other PutAway and Outbound departments and employees as necessary.
  • Based on in-depth knowledge of the operation, assist leadership in the review of department procedures to improve efficiency and quality output of the operation. Must be able to identify and suggest resolutions to reoccurring issues.
  • Communicate effectively with all appropriate personnel; fellow Team leaders, supervisors, managers and other departments to ensure accuracy of inventory, maximize production / efficiency, minimize errors, and ultimately increase customer service.

  • Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic PC skills; knowledge of Internet software; some spreadsheet and word processing software experience preferred; ability to develop knowledge of HP9000 Inventory software and Commands Order processing systems.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Summit Racing Safe Operator Training
  • Other Skills and Abilities – Experience with RF equipment, automotive knowledge helpful, strong understanding and commitment to customer service, knowledge of overall OFC procedures, practices, and business management philosophies.
Education and/or Experience – One year of college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and /or training.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Throughout the day, employees are required to be able to lift product up to 70lbs. Employee may also have to occasionally lift a weight limit that exceeds 70lbs and/or involve a team lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee must be able to maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift and during overtime situations.
