Location: Elk Grove, IL
Pay Rate: $27.56 to $33.07 depending on experience- $2.00 hr. shift premium for nights
Shift: 5:45 pm to 6:15 am, 12 hour continental shift, 3 days one week and 4 days the following, off every other weekend.

As the Team Leader you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, specifically proactive tasks, necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products. Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- 5+ years Printing experience, Packaging experience a plus, Slitting /Laminating/Press Experience
- Prepare job jackets including communicating to Shift Manager on any work order inconsistencies
- MUST have the knowledge and ability to operate the printing presses when shorthanded for continuous operation
- Issue work orders to appropriate machines and operators.
- Ensure material delivered to appropriate workstation.
- Explanation of work order requirements and specifications to the operator.
- Check and approve set up. Check and approve finished goods ensuring specifications are met.
- Prepare Work orders for maintenance.
- Input approval on material rejection and rework in Shop Floor Program.
- Communicate with IT to advise shop floor program problems.
- Communicate with Shift Manager regarding machine and production problems.
- Ensure that cleaning and sanitation procedures are adhered to, Sanitation checklist is complete and preoperational inspection is performed.
- Ensure that all quality checks for intermediate product are conducted and documented
- Ensure that all combo jobs are slit according to Allergen Control Requirements
- Ensure that CCP monitoring procedure is adhered to
- Ensure that the Allergen Control Requirements are applied to RMA Rework and Internal Rework
- Pushing, Pulling and lifting up to 70lbs.
- Must be able to stand/climb/push/pull/bend for job related activities over 12 hours.
- In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours, and weekends as needed

- Must be able to operate flexo gearless servo printing presses.
- W & H and Flexotecnica experience preferred.
- Process printing CMYK, COLOR CERT Xrite knowledge required.
