Team Leader – Clerical

Health Center Inc. is a NYC based healthcare organization with ambulatory care facilities staffed with a wide range of health professionals to provide extensive medical and diagnostic services. We are currently looking for a Clerical Team Leader who would be responsible for the coordination of all aspects of customer service to members. The Team Leader will maintain records and reports of all clerical activities related to services provided, and oversee clerical staff in our centralized area while ensuring that they are acting in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

· Support clerical Supervisor in staff orientation, training and ongoing in-service.

· Ensure adequate staff coverage to effectively address operational needs.

· Assist with implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient processing 1f appointments, cancellations and rescheduling requests using the EMR system.

· Handle all aspects of initial registration and verification of member eligibility.

· Support with payroll, in the absence of Clerical Supervisor.

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely provision of healthcare services.

· Maintain and frequently monitor provider schedule templates. Adjust and revise templates as needed.

· Perform managerial or administrative support work, as needed.

· Report on activities of department on a daily basis.

· Exhibit excellent customer service.

· Other duties as operationally required.

Qualifications:

· High school graduate.

· A minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

· Compute literate.

· Ability to multi-task and collaborate with team members.
